Responsibilities
- Interpret and confirm insurance coverages
- Investigate, evaluate, and settle Casualty claims with claimants or their representatives
- Direct and manage file investigations and if required instruct IAs as needed
- Ensure file reserves are timely and accurate
- Proactively manage communication with our customers and stakeholders
- Clearly document and summarize file activity
- Understand and support Aviva's claim procedures and guidelines
- Regular and proactive reviews files strategy plans
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent
- CIP or working towards CIP. Currently licensed or qualifies to be licensed to handle Casualty Claims in all Atlantic Provinces
- Experience with Property Damage Liability claims
- Strong working knowledge of litigation environment (Litigation Assistant, Para-legal)
- Bilingual French and English is a strong asset
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong working knowledge of Personal and Commercial liability claims
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Well-developed organizational skills
- Adaptability, flexibility and integrity
- Committed team player with a positive outlook and sense of humor
