You are approachable and relationship-oriented as you contribute to Pitney Bowes success.You will:Inspect assigned vehicle per the Pitney Bowes pre-trip inspection guidelines and procedures daily. Report any defective findings to the Transportation Supervisor to be fixed immediatelyMaintain a daily driver's log or route sheet for mileage, stops and cargo, or utilization of TMW systemMaintain pickup and delivery schedules meeting deadlines utilizing software toolsKnow and understand safety and security precautions and follow company policies and keep vehicle cleanEnsure the mail is reviewed for proper dates, presort slugs and a pickup slip is attached with each order prior to loading on the truckEnsure USPS equipment is used only for the movement of "Live" mailReturn client damaged or undeliverable mail, following internal handling procedures for damaged secured mailUse all required cell phone applicationsKeep work area clean by ensuring mail bins are under machines or in APC's, plastic straps are off floor to prevent possible tripping hazards, and sweeping the floors between assigned pickups or deliveries, and all other duties as assignedDemonstrate safety and security precautions and follows company policiesAs a CDL B Driver, you have :Must be minimum 21 years in ageAbility to drive a CDL straight truck or equivalentAbility to read a map and understand directionsAbility to understand and become knowledgeable with USPS regulations and managing standardsValid state motor vehicle operator's license in the state where the driver resides (CDL Class B) and meet applicable DOT requirements for CDLMinimum of six months verifiable driving experience with safe driving recordAbility to lift at least 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop and bend with or without accommodationsMust have the ability to work mandatory overtime that may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance noticeAbility to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public , to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and recordsOur Team:We will:Provide the opportunity to grow and develop your careerOffer an inclusive environment that encourages diverse perspectives and ideasDeliver challenging and unique opportunities to contribute to the success of a transforming organizationOffer comprehensive benefits globally (PB Live Well )All qualified applicants, including Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities, are encouraged to apply.All interested individuals must apply online.
