Robotics and Industrial Solutions Engineering Lead

Responsibilities

• Technical & Architecture Leadership
• Define and deliver FPGA‑based architectures for multi-sensor robotics and industrial automation systems
• Design and develop RTL and reusable IP libraries , including sensor fusion and real‑time control pipelines
• Lead HW/SW co‑design , integrating FPGA solutions with processors, accelerators, and SW stacks
• Hands‑On Engineering
• Hands-on RTL development, architecture definition, and technical debug
• Support platform bring‑up, validation, and customer issue resolution
• Contribute directly to reference designs, demos, and solution collateral
• Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor a small engineering team , setting technical direction and execution priorities
• Drive Agile development practices and continuous improvement
• Support skills development, technical growth, and regular performance conversations
• Customer & Ecosystem Engagement
• Work closely with customers, sales, and system architects to define and deliver robotics solutions
• Represent Altera at key robotics and industrial trade shows

Requirements

• BSc / MSc (or equivalent) in EE, CE, CS , or related discipline
• Strong RTL design experience (Verilog/SystemVerilog) with production FPGA delivery
• Experience in system architecture for robotics, autonomy, or industrial automation
• Knowledge of sensor fusion systems and real‑time data pipelines
• Familiarity with ROS2 or robotics software stacks and HW/SW integration
• Prior experience leading or mentoring engineers
• Strong communication skills and customer‑facing experience
