We are currently hiring an Assistant Project Manager to be located in Anaheim, CA. This opportunity will have you working within our Education project sector. The Education team is a prime consultant to multiple school districts in the country and provides services to K-12 as well as higher education institutions nationally. You will be teaming with project, program, and client leadership to provide premier educational facilities for our nation's youth and adults seeking to better themselves through learning. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assist the project management team with various parts of the project such as constructability review, value engineering, pay app reviews, schedule development, FF&E program development and execution. Assist in formulating the design, bid, and project phase of scheduling. Assist in the Addenda and Bid process. Under supervision of Project Manager, conduct pre-bid and job start meetings. Monitor contract compliance and report concerns to Project Manager. Under the supervision of Project Manager, facilitate job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes. Oversee approvals from applicable government agencies are received and documented. Under supervision of Project Manager, conduct close out activities and assist with building occupancy. Prepares field reporting for review by Project Manager. Perform QA/QC process. Review change orders for completeness and conformance to company and client standards. Review RFIs/Submittals for completeness before distribution to design team. Provide basic CPM scheduling and budget management. Review and maintain As Built drawings. Knowledge & Skills Required: Utilize effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate with various stakeholders, internal and external to the company. Demonstrate an understanding of how project documentation impacts the project flow. Ability to read blueprints. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently. Demonstrate sound judgement and logical decision making skills. Understand how your role contributes to the organization's goals. Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related field is required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction management. Prior experience supporting educational facility projects and/or public works projects.
