JOB SUMMARY Job Profile Summary Performs advanced level of work related to nomination, confirmation, and scheduling activities for local distribution companies (LDC), intrastate and gathering pipelines or natural gas liquids (NGL) distribution. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Initiate, schedule, review, and monitor daily nominations to maintain pipeline integrity by minimizing Operational Balance Agreement (OBA) and shipper or customer imbalances Interact with gas control representatives, customers, operators, producers, pipeline companies and others concerning nominations, allocations, billing, imbalances, daily flow and operational orders Calculate, prepare, and analyze information or reports including, but not limited to: Allocations Balancing deliveries Nominations and confirmations Pricing Flow rates/capacity issues Measurement discrepancies Storage balances Electronic bulletin board communications Actual Usage - Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) Education Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business administration, or accounting with job related experience or equivalent formal education to include a combination of courses such as accounting, business law, business communications, algebra, basic statistics, or speech and the following job related knowledge or experience Work Experience Experience and thorough knowledge of nomination and scheduling of gas or NGL volumes on a pipeline system Experience analyzing and resolving issues and/or questions concerning scheduling, nominations, balancing, and allocations Experience in use and function of office equipment including mainframe applications and microcomputers and applicable software Experience and/or training related to: Gas purchase Gas control Gas accounting Transportation services Volume control Customer service Pipeline Tariffs NGL Distribution (as specified by position) Experience reading and interpreting applicable contracts, agreements, reports, statements, invoices, confirmations, correspondence, tariffs, government regulations, industry standards, electronic bulletin board communications, and company policies and procedures Experience composing and preparing balancing reports, volume summaries, confirmations, reports, pipeline postings, storage reports, and electronic bulletin board communications Experience analyzing information, conducting meetings, and making presentations Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to: apply basic math, algebra, and statistics Ability to: communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information or instructions Licenses and Certifications None required Strength Factor Rating - Physical Demands/Requirements Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
