DAILY LIFE includes but not limited to; - Assisting the Winery Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes. - Preparation of menu items for service - Take care of daily preparation as assigned by Chef - Cleaning, sanitizing and kitchen upkeep - Assisting with health, safety, and food hygiene best practices - Monitoring portion and waste control - Overseeing maintenance of kitchen equipment and food safety standards
Requirements
- FoodSafe Certified
- Must possess a passion for people, wine and the hospitality industry
- Detail oriented, multitasking ability and strong work ethic required - both individually and as part of a team
- Courteous, friendly, positive attitude
- Related training (Red Seal/ITA Certificate) and/or second language an asset, but not required
- Able to lift 40lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Commitment to a healthy and safe environment for team members and guests
