The Line Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production activities on the processing line within an industrial recycling facility. This role ensures employees are working safely and efficiently while maintaining production flow. Lead will continuously walk the production floor, monitor line activity, and identify issues. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Monitor daily production line operations to ensure productivity goals are met. Walk the production line throughout the shift to inspect workflow, identify bottlenecks, and ensure continuous operations. Verify materials are being sorted, processed, and handled according to company standards and safety procedures. Monitor staffing levels on the line and assist with coordinating team assignments as needed. Communicate operational issues, equipment concerns, downtime, or safety hazards to supervisors and maintenance personnel. Ensure employees follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards. Train and support line employees on proper procedures, productivity expectations, and safe work practices. Maintain accurate production counts, downtime tracking, and shift documentation when required. Assist in resolving production issues quickly to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency. Conduct routine inspections of the work area to ensure cleanliness and organization. Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment. Support supervisors with daily operational needs and special projects as assigned.
