JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Recruitment Specialist serves as a field recruiter and outreach representative. This position develops relationships and is first point of contact for individuals in the suspect to college applicant conversion journey. The Specialist serves as the representative, engaging high schools, employers, community agencies and the public through recruitment and outreach activities and events. This announcement is active through 7/6/26 at 11:59pm and will no longer be listed as of 7/7/26. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS: 1. Executes outreach and recruitment activities for assigned targets in all modalities: on-campus, off-campus and virtually. 2. Presents the college's value proposition, features and benefits to prospective students, parents, school counselors, employers and community agencies. 3. Provides information to prospective students interested in MCC programs and assists prospective students through the application process. 4. Develops ongoing relationships with prospect groups, as well as internal relationships across the College to connect students to services. 5. Consistently and accurately uses the Customer Relations Management (CRM) system to manage contacts and activities with prospects. 6. Assists with college campus visits, recruitment, training and coordination of Brand Ambassador support for group tours. 7. Completes training activities as assigned. 8. Models a friendly and supportive attitude to help create a positive climate for staff, and the public. 9. Attends work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Knowledge of recruitment, outreach or customer relationship management functions. 2. Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software. 3. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other college supported systems. 4. Excellent communication skills including active listening. 5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 6. Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team-orientated environment. 7. Ability to demonstrate cooperation and professionalism in stressful situations. 8. Ability to effectively work and interact with various cultures and ethnicities. 9. Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team culture. 10. Willingness to work some evening and weekend hours. 11. Ability to maintain confidentiality. 12. Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds on occasion. 13. Ability to interact effectively with various cultures and ethnicities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1. Associate degree in Communications, Marketing, Education, Management or related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred. 2. Two (2) years of recruiting, sales, marketing, admissions, outreach or customer service-related experience. 3. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred. 4. Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered. 5. Valid driver's license and insurability to drive college vehicles is required. 6. Must pass a background check.
