System Engineer (Vmware, HyperV, Redhat) (AMK)

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based or windows environments.
• Experience in Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare, KVM or Microsoft Hyper-V
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
• knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Amazon Linux, etc; Windows Server 2019 will be an advantange
• Experience with monitoring systems
• Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks ) is an added advantage
• Experience with automation software is an added advantage
• Experience with networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) is an added advantage
• Location: AMK (Travel to site in the East and Vivocity area whenever required)

Additional Information

Job Description: Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure to be in line with SOP (standard operating procedure) in place. Defines customers' needs and functionalities. Assists in the coordination of system related activities and evaluation of the implementation design. Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability. Collaborates and manages various stakeholders to ensure high quality deliverables within the guidelines, policies, and procedures. Anticipating & troubleshooting systems related issues. Continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategies. Liaising with 3rd party vendors, IT providers, etc. for support where required. Provide system documentation and SOPs.
