Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and high quality quotes in line with RGA's corporate standards and within agreed upon timelines.
  • Analyze the tender request, particularly the benefit structure. Utilize this analysis and input from liaisons with underwriting and claims as well as product specs provided to adjust the basis to be used.
  • Set up Axis cells, analyze Axis output and propose final set of rates.
  • Once pricing or analysis has been completed, conduct reasonability checks and reconcile the results/output produced with previous data if possible. Areas of uncertainty should be highlighted for review.
  • Collaborate with business development and other decision makers to produce the final result and construct a proposal which is suitable for the client.
  • Document pricing assumptions and results adequately. Demonstrate flexibility in working approach.
  • Help the team with adhoc client and project queries as and when they arise.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships within the team and with other functions in the business to foster effective collaboration
  • Provide technical/actuarial support for the execution of our product development initiatives.
  • Conduct and perform experience studies to help refine and improve the pricing models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Actuarial Science or related degree required
  • Experience in insurance preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skill is required and experience in using Actuarial software i.e. AXIS - beginner proficiency preferred
  • Highly organized, delivery-orientated with the ability to work with multiple concurrent projects - beginner proficiency required
  • Highly motivated, results oriented and solutions focused - intermediate proficiency required
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure - intermediate proficiency required
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and technical skills with a sharp to detail - beginner proficiency required
  • Strong client services ability with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) - intermediate proficiency required
  • Making good exam progress towards a globally recognized actuarial qualification required
