Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of three years working experience in heavy vehicle operation and automotive repair work. Skills to lead and supervise subordinate workers in accomplishment of work. Possess working knowledge on operating a Hazardous Waste Accumulation Point. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Owned Vehicle (GOV) operator's permit, as required. If operation of a tow truck, forklift, or other GOV is assigned, the incumbent must obtain the appropriate license within 90 days of written notification. Failure to obtain or maintain required licenses may result in disciplinary action. Must have thorough knowledge of the makeup, operation and installation of complex major automotive systems and assemblies to troubleshoot and repair systems. Ability to interpret and apply technical repair manuals, technical specifications, schematics, engineering drawings, diagnostic codes, computer printouts and safety manuals. Skills in the use of hand/power tools and electronic test equipment. Must possess the initiative to determine needs and follow through on actions and changes to meet identified needs. Ability to troubleshoot and replace standard electronic components of systems. Must be able to complete Cash Handling Training Course before handling fund and Refresher Course once per year. Ability to communicate in Japanese both orally and in writing preferred. This activity is a Drug-free workplace.
