- Essential Responsibilities
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Obtains all pertinent medical information from patient to identify age specific needs.
- Performs Radiographic procedures of high technical quality.
- Utilizes proper radiation protection to protect patient from excessive radiation.
- Uses of all equipment efficiently; reports all deficiencies to immediate supervisor.
- Stocks x-ray rooms between exams and at end of shift.
- Performs appropriate diagnostic procedures as ordered and assists Radiologist performing procedure.
- Takes on additional procedures during periods of heavy workload.
- Documents any changes in patient condition using appropriate forms.
- Obtains appropriate medical history before patient examination and prepares patient for exam.
- Performs receptionist and Radiology Assistant duties as needed.
- Produces radiographs and practices isolation techniques per policy and procedures.
- Follows ALARA guideline and uses Universal Precautions in all situations.
- Produces films as needed.
- Preforms other duties as assigned.

Job Description: Education: Required: Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Training Program approved by the American Medical Association or equivalent training Licensure/Certification: Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification; California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license with fluoroscopy permit; must obtain fluoroscopy permit within twelve (12) months of hire if graduated before January 1, 2011 from Diagnostic Radiology Technology program with CRT license; American Heart Association BLS
