Site Reliability Engineer

They're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who's ready to contribute at both the strategic and execution levels. You should have a sharp eye for design, a strong grasp of complex systems, and a track record of applying it to demanding production systems. You will join a team of Backend and Systems engineers in charge of infrastructure, core services , data pipelines, and observability platform. Within the team, you will help deliver production-grade services with demanding requirements in terms of performance and cost-effectiveness, including important aspects like documentation, tests or APM metrics. You will not take anything for granted and raise your hand when something doesn't seem right or can be done in a better, more effective way.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve their observability tools.
• Maintain and evolve their CI/CD processes.
• Keep their platform scalable and maintainable, matching their ever increasing load.
• Help them construct a SRE culture within the organization by fostering best practices.
• Improve the reliability of their systems.
• Boost their systems availability, without data loss or user impact.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in software engineering, especially in DevOps and/or SRE.
• Knowledge of Gitlab CI.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Experience with any of the major cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Familiarity with Observability platforms like Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as Search Engines.
• Knowledge of Event Streaming Platforms and Message Queues like Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
• Comfortable with SRE, GitOps and DevOps principles.
• Must be a fiscal resident of Portugal (regardless of nationality).
