Responsibilities

  • An academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or a related field of study with a minimum Distinction average required; High Distinction preferred.

  • Experience working with Linux operating systems.

At IMC, our Site Reliability Engineers are responsible for maintaining a robust, best-in-class, extremely low-latency Linux trading environment. Getting the right balance of speed and quality is crucial to what we do. Utilising and developing a wide range of tools, Systems Engineers look to automate all aspects of the platform. As a Graduate Site Reliability Engineer at IMC, you will practice DevOps and implement SRE techniques to improve IMC's operations. You will be part of highly motivated team, facing the daily challenge of managing a high-volume data flow in a complex environment distributed over low-latency infrastructure. In this role, you will be exposed to technical and trading challenges while ensuring high availability, stability and performance of the end-to-end environment. Sitting at the intersection of software engineering and DevOps, you'll have two core responsibilities: responding decisively when something goes wrong like a hardware failure, a network issue, an unexpected outage minutes before market open and building the tooling, automation, and AI-powered infrastructure that prevents those incidents from happening in the first place. In trading, every fraction of a second counts.
