The Role We're looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our Supplier Sales team at E1. This is an entry-level sales role, perfect for someone who's looking to start their career in sales and learn the foundations from the ground up. You don't need to come in with years of sales experience. What matters most is that you're curious, motivated, comfortable picking up the phone, and excited to learn how great sales conversations work. As an SDR, you'll play an important role in helping our Supplier Sales team build a strong pipeline of opportunities. You'll be responsible for identifying and qualifying best-fit suppliers for our paid supplier product, starting meaningful discovery conversations, and booking high-quality meetings with the right stakeholders. You'll be part of a supportive, high-energy team, working closely with Business Development Managers and other sales team members to uncover customer needs, understand what makes supplier businesses tick, and help connect them with the right E1 solution. You'll spend your time speaking with suppliers, researching opportunities, managing a pipeline of leads, keeping detailed CRM notes, and sharing customer insights back with the team. Along the way, you'll build strong foundations in consultative selling, customer discovery, pipeline management and the construction industry, with a clear pathway to continue growing your sales career at E1. Your day to day will include: Identifying and qualifying supplier leads and projects from multiple databases and sources Making outbound calls and engaging with prospects to understand their business, needs and challenges Booking high-quality meetings for BDMs and other outbound sales team members Running discovery conversations to uncover customer pain points and identify strong-fit opportunities Managing a pipeline of leads with discipline, focus and attention to detail Keeping accurate CRM records, including detailed notes from conversations and customer insights Working with marketing and sales teammates to make the most of existing customer data Sharing insights, learnings and market feedback with your team and the wider business About You You're looking to start or grow your career in sales, and you're excited to learn You've got that Sales DNA. You're curious, motivated, and willing to step into conversations with confidence You don't need years of experience, but you do bring energy, resilience and a willingness to have a go You love picking up the phone to talk with people and build relationships You listen with curiosity, you seek to understand, and you can spot unmet needs or opportunities You're comfortable working towards clear targets and outcomes You're tenacious, methodical and upbeat You're achievement oriented and enjoy the momentum that comes from a busy pipeline You have strong organisational skills and can keep clear, accurate records You're a self-starter with a willingness to work as part of a small, dedicated and fun team You have a natural curiosity for how businesses operate and what makes them tick Bonus points if you bring: Experience in SaaS, tech, sales, or the construction industry Previous SDR, outbound sales, customer service, or phone-based experience Familiarity with CRMs. We use Salesforce A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to stay composed and constructive when facing objections An interest in developing into a Sales Consultant, BDM, or CSM role over time The ability to champion our company values matters to us; we care about our team and you'll be joining a group of people who want each other to be happy and successful.
