Primary Purpose of Developmental Position: The primary purpose of this position is to perform assignments designed to further progress applicable analytical and evaluative skills and techniques. The complexity of the work will gradually increase throughout the training path, leading to requiring greater independent judgment and decision ability. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. This is a GG-7 Target 11 position, in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-07/09 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Entry/Developmental" work level & are equivalent to those at the GS-7/9 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the 07 or 09 grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. Basic Requirement for GG-0080-07 Target 11 EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of experience include knowledge of the principles, policy, procedures and methodology of security administration and skill in applying practical knowledge of applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies. Skills have been gained through experience or education to carry out difficult assignments independently. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. OR EDUCATION One full academic year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, & abilities necessary to do the work of the position, or superior academic achievement. OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A combination of education & experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A combination of education & experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze, & resolve moderately complex security problems to manage/implement the NASIC Physical Security Program. 2. Knowledge of DoD and Air Force antiterrorism and force protection doctrine, policies, and instructions to coordinate objectives and develop plans for interrelated security programs. 3. Knowledge of security program relationships to make recommendations allowing for differing program requirements, and multiple security objectives; and knowledge of the required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs. 4. Knowledge of the intelligence enterprise to support and promote industrial and physical security strategies. 5. Skill in gathering, assembling, and analyzing facts; drawing conclusions; devising solutions to problems; identifying changes and trends; and preparing and presenting information to leadership; and ability to prioritize and recommend resourcing strategies for the correction or mitigation of AT vulnerabilities impacting NASIC. 6.
