Outside General Litigator

Responsibilities

• Represent the client in litigated matters in state and federal courts.
• Supervise and manage all aspects of the legal department, including case strategy, motions and briefs, discovery, trial preparation, staffing, budgets and invoices, etc.

Requirements

• -Minimum of ten (10) years of general civil litigation experience in a law firm; experience with California law required.
• -Excellent written and verbal communication skills; superior drafting, analytical, and negotiating skills.
• -Ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate legal risks; assess complex legal issues; and devise practical strategies and solutions.
• -Experience holding positions of General Counsel or Assistant General Counsel
• -Solo practitioner
• Required Education:
• -JD degree or equivalent from an accredited law school
• -Admission to the California State Bar in good standing

Outside General Litigator Superior Executive & Legal Recruiting is actively recruiting for a highly professional and experienced civil litigator to assist our client with a variety of employment matters. This professional needs to be California licensed and in good standing. The work will be primarily defense-side; however, this professional should have familiarity and experience with plaintiff-side as well, having performed significant general counsel responsibilities in a previous role. There is no billing requirement, but this professional should be comfortable billing as any other litigator would. This professional needs to possess excellent communication skills-including strong legal writing-know how to strategize effectively and be comfortable in all aspects of the litigation process, including arbitrations and mediations.
