About the role

Full time - 35 hours per week Fixed term contract - 31 months The Psychology Department in the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences are seeking a full time, fixed term Post-Doctoral Research Associate. This post is available from August 2026. The opportunity: The successful candidate will work alongside Dr Anne Templeton and other team members as part of an UKRI funded project 'Simulating the impact of first responder communication strategies on citizen adherence in emergencies". The PDRA will be integral to key aspects of the project including monitoring the progression of the project, co-designing and preparing the studies, data analysis, and disseminating the findings to stakeholders. Your skills and attributes for success: A PhD or equivalent degree in Psychology or related discipline (pending or assumed complete may be considered). Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research into group processes using the social identity approach. Have led online and in-person data collection, ideally in evacuation or other emergency settings. Excellent time management and organisational skills, including coordination and prioritisation of multiple tasks. Strong skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and being proactive. £41,064 to £48,822 per annum (Grade 7)
