Role Summary The Middle Office Product Onboarding Team Lead is responsible for delivering and continuously improving the end-to-end onboarding of new financial vehicles while playing a critical role in transforming and consolidating onboarding activities across the organization. This role operates at the intersection of operations, data, risk, and technology-driving standardization, scalability, and investment readiness. As a senior individual contributor and functional lead, the Team Lead will guide complex product onboarding, influence cross-functional partners, and act as a catalyst for process redesign and operating model evolution. This role is designed for a high-impact professional who thrives in ambiguity and is motivated to lead change without formal authority. This role reports to the Middle Office Product Onboarding Manager. This hybrid position will be based out of our Kansas City, MO office. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future. How You Will Make an Impact Lead end‑to‑end onboarding of new investment vehicles (institutional accounts, CITs, ETFs, mutual funds, SMAs, models), ensuring full operational, data, custody, trading, and regulatory readiness prior to go‑live. Drive transformation of the product onboarding operating model by reducing fragmentation, standardizing processes, and consolidating activities across teams and regions. Actively manage priorities across initiatives and serve as a key bridge between product management, technology, and product development to ensure alignment with strategic enablement objectives and Enablement Operations Committee outcomes. Champion standardization of onboarding checklists, documentation, controls, metrics, and data standards to improve scalability, transparency, and consistency. Identify inefficiencies, control gaps, and pain points in current onboarding practices and lead remediation through redesigned workflows, controls, and governance. Act as a senior escalation point and onboarding "gatekeeper," proactively identifying, assessing, and resolving complex risks, dependencies, and readiness gaps. Embed strong operational risk management by ensuring onboarding risks are identified early, documented, escalated appropriately, and incorporated into continuous improvement efforts. Provide functional leadership and mentorship to onboarding staff while acting as a catalyst for change, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization. What You Bring to the Team (Required) Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in middle office, investment operations, or product onboarding within financial services. Strong understanding of financial products, investment vehicles, and regulatory considerations. Solid foundation in the trade life cycle, market participants, and vehicle structures. Demonstrated experience driving process improvement or change initiatives. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complexity into practical solutions. Proven ability to influence across teams without direct authority. Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency with operational systems, data tools, and onboarding workflows.
