Responsibilities

Position Summary: The Engineer II position is the intermediate level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Employees in the Engineer II position solve complex problems in engineering areas of specialization with general supervision. An Engineer II is expected to develop advanced skills, and the ability to work with greater independence. An Engineer II effectively applies fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied. The Engineer III position is the advanced level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Employees in the Engineer III position solve complex problems in engineering areas of specialization with limited supervision. An Engineer III is expected to develop advanced skills, and the ability to work with greater independence. An Engineer III effectively applies fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is progressively complex and varied. This position will assist in providing technical guidance to Grid Management in the DCC. The position supports communications across several internal departments in addition to external customers and is responsible for developing and implementing business plans, budgets, and training initiatives for the Company regarding DCC and ADMS initiatives. Areas of expertise in addition to Distribution engineering knowledge include ADMS and Switching and Tagging. Solves complex problems and demonstrates a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Plans and determines priorities for self and other team members and prescribes the processes needed to achieve the objectives within the framework of the organization's operating policies. Responsible for analysis of complex plans, designs, construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems, components, and system operations with voltage levels typically 34.5KV and below. Assignments are broad in nature and require ability to identify trends and create system-level solutions that require extensive originality and ingenuity.
