The Senior Upstream Energy Marketing Professional, working under limited supervision, is responsible for negotiating complex marketing agreements in sales/trading and related services for upstream/midstream oil and gas assets. The role involves analyzing midstream and marketing agreements, ensuring compliance, and evaluating commercial terms for various contracts. The role assesses regional markets, gathers and analyzes energy market data, and develops a comprehensive understanding of midstream facilities in order to drive greater netback prices and flow assurance, and lower GP&T costs. The role leads concurrent projects, negotiates with partners and government agencies, and mentors professionals, driving improvements within upstream energy marketing. The role also cultivates effective relationships, provides influence over projects, and demonstrates advanced project management skills. - Operates under general supervision, contributing to the negotiation of complex marketing agreements in sales/trading, processing, gathering, transportation, purchasing, and related services, while also assisting in developing strategic marketing plans to promote the organization's upstream/midstream oil and gas assets, including exploration and production projects. - Analyzes various midstream and marketing-related agreements, ensuring compliance with pricing, measurement, commitments and other contract provisions and identifying value-added opportunities. - Evaluates and recommends commercial terms and operational conditions for gathering, transportation, sale and purchase contracts for produced water. - Evaluates regional water markets, considering supply/demand fundamentals, competitor assessments, and logistical alternatives. - Gathers, organizes, and analyzes energy market data, financial statements, economic statistics, geopolitical factors, supply-demand dynamics, and regulatory changes, to identify trends in global energy and economies that impact immediate business environment, upstream markets as well as the long-term energy transition. - Develops an extensive working knowledge of midstream facilities and actively participates in E&P area teams, to assess reservoir potential, evaluate drilling prospects, and optimize production strategies. - Negotiates with potential partners, joint venture participants, and government agencies to secure exploration and production rights, leases, and concessions. - Works under limited supervision, leads concurrent projects, mentors less-experienced professionals, and initiates change, driving improvements within upstream energy marketing. - Cultivates effective relationships, shares knowledge, and provides influence over projects and peer groups, demonstrating understanding of industry best practices. - Identifies, diagnoses, and recommends upstream energy marketing solutions independently, collaborates across disciplines, and demonstrates advanced project management skills, contributing to company performance and goals. - Utilizes and leverages experience working with AI tools for data analysis, project deliverables, and role enhancement/optimization.
