Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available Opportunity: Perfusionist - Perfusionist Job Details: - 2 years of experience required in specialty - Call required on weekdays and weekends in rotation - Unit will accept first-time travelers - Patient ratios: 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends - 8 hours of orientation provided - Work with adult and geriatric patient populations - Conduct adult cardiopulmonary bypass and provide ventricular assist support - Provide Intra Aortic Balloon Pump support and conduct ExtraCorporeal Membrane Oxygenation - Perform auto transfusion, physiological monitoring, and hemofiltration including acute dialysis - Operate various blood analyzers and ex-vivo organ systems - Must be available for emergency team assignments during emergency events - Required education: Completion of formal training program in Extracorporeal Technology - Required certifications: BLS, Certified by The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion - Must have current Louisiana State Board of Medical Perfusionist license in hand at time of submission - Must be over 65 miles from facility address to qualify as travel assignment - No call-ins permitted Facility: This major medical center provides comprehensive cardiovascular and perfusion services with advanced cardiac surgery capabilities.
