Anesthesiology, General (St. John's)

Responsibilities

• Clinical Care
• Provide high-quality Anesthesia services for a broad spectrum of surgical specialties.
• Deliver Anesthesia in non-operating room locations such as endoscopy.
• Provide comprehensive Obstetric Anesthesia coverage, including labor analgesia and C-sections.
• Conduct pre-op evaluations and manage intraoperative and postoperative care.
• Participate in emergency airway management, rapid responses, and code team duties.
• Participate in the in-house call and beeper call rotation for immediate hospital coverage.
• Provider coverage solo and via anesthesia care team model. CRNA supervision of up to 3-4 rooms

Requirements

• MD or DO; completion of Anesthesia Residency.
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Anesthesiology.
• NYS Medical License.
• Strong communication and clinical skills; OB experience preferred.
• Compensation & Benefits
• Total potential compensation in excess of $700k
• Base salary of $480,000-$510,000 commensurate with experience
• Additional call pay up to or above $80,000 depending on volume of call taken
• Sign on & retention bonuses totaling $100k
• Up to $24k in productivity bonuses.
• LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) are also offered.

The Anesthesiologist will support a full range of services in OR and non-OR procedural areas, as well as Obstetric Anesthesia. The role includes day shift as well as both in-house call and beeper call to ensure 24/7 coverage.
