Job Description Summary: Aviagen Turkeys Inc. is hiring service crew team members!!! Aviagen Turkeys Inc. is looking for motivated individuals to join our Service Crew and support breeder farm operations across our region. Service Crew members travel daily from our office to assigned farms to perform essential flock management activities, including vaccinating, tagging, weighing, and moving birds. If you enjoy hands on work, working as part of a team, and staying active throughout the day, this may be the opportunity for you. Job Description: Service Crew members perform a variety of flock management activities, including but not limited to: Report to the designated company location each workday and travel with the service crew to assigned farm locations. Vaccinate, tag, weigh, move, and handle birds according to company procedures and animal welfare standards. Catch and transfer birds for movement between pens or facilities. Assist with flock health activities by observing birds for signs of illness, injury, abnormal behavior, or mortality and report concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Perform general flock care and support activities as assigned. Assist with pen setup, cleanout, and preparation for incoming flocks. Adhere to all company biosecurity, animal welfare, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures to protect flock health and maintain regulatory compliance. Properly operate, clean, and maintain equipment used by the service crew. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with Farm Managers, supervisors, and fellow team members regarding daily activities and concerns. Perform other duties as assigned.
