Position Summary As a member of the trade compliance team (Corporate Counsel Dept.), the Import Specialist is responsible for supporting the trade compliance function within the trade compliance team focusing on imports. This includes the daily support for import shipments by support of broker requests, assigning HTS codes, daily file audit and review, and working with other company departments to facilitate the import activities of the company. Also supporting FTZ operations and C-TPAT compliance. Role and Responsibilities Here's What You'll Be Responsible For: Research and respond to Customs requests for information in a timely manner as prescribed by regulation. Research and classify new parts for imports according to the HTSUS (Harmonized Tariff System of the US). Assist in risk assessment reviews including quarterly internal assessments for imports. Assist with the annual preparation and distribution of C-TPAT supply chain security letters to suppliers and service providers.
