We are looking for an experienced Life Underwriter to join our team and play a key role in delivering high‑quality underwriting decisions that support sustainable business growth. Job Descriptions: Conduct comprehensive underwriting risk assessments for New Business applications, covering medical, financial, residency, and occupational risks, in accordance with the Company's underwriting philosophy, guidelines, and risk appetite, while meeting agreed turnaround time (TAT) standards. Provide professional underwriting advice and case consultation to distribution channels (Agency, Bancassurance, and Brokerage), balancing risk management discipline with commercial awareness to support sustainable business growth. Supporting the Team Manager in delivering high-quality underwriting service and maintaining effective, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and distribution partners. Participate in projects, initiatives, and ad-hoc assignments, including process reengineering, guideline reviews, or system enhancement, as required. Job Requirements 3-5 years of solid experience in Life Insurance underwriting, with hands-on exposure to medical and financial underwriting for new business cases. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess risk holistically and apply underwriting principles consistently. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, with the ability to communicate underwriting decisions clearly and professionally. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, able to work effectively with sales channels, operations, and internal partners. University degree holder preferred. Professional insurance qualifications such as FLMI, ACS, or equivalent will be an advantage. Prudential is an equal opportunity employer.
