About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Projects & Design, this role is responsible for delivering property development, refurbishment and capital works projects across our resort portfolio. You will oversee projects from concept to completion, managing budgets, contractors, consultants and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage resort acquisitions, refurbishments, fit-outs, sales office projects and capital works.
  • Lead projects from planning and design through to construction and operational handover.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, procurement activities and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate architects, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
  • Oversee tender processes, contract negotiations and contractor performance.
  • Monitor project schedules, risks, costs, quality and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure projects meet relevant building codes, safety standards and company expectations.
  • Review designs, assess variations and approve project payments.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Sales and Leadership teams.
  • Maintain project documentation, reporting and administrative requirements.

  • You are an organised and commercially minded project professional with a strong track record of delivering construction, refurbishment or development projects.
  • To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Experience managing construction, refurbishment, fit-out or development projects.
  • Strong project management, budget and contract administration skills.
  • Experience managing consultants, contractors and multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of tendering, procurement and project delivery processes.
  • Understanding of construction methodologies, building codes and compliance requirements.
  • Strong planning, organisation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Relevant qualifications in Construction, Building, Architecture, Engineering, Property or a related discipline.
  • Highly Regarded
  • Experience in hospitality, hotels, resorts or commercial property.
  • Client-side project management experience.
  • Experience delivering projects in operational environments.
  • Experience with BirchStreet or similar procurement systems.
