Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot, tune, and maintain Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and historian systems.
- Diagnose and repair electronic, digital, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical control systems.
- Utilize calibration equipment and tools to perform assigned maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and complete work orders.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, work orders, and requisitions.
- Respond to after-hours calls and participate in scheduled on-call coverage.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), job hazard analyses, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Communicate effectively using radios, intercom systems, and direct interaction.
- Identify and proactively address recurring or potential equipment issues with minimal supervision.
- Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, and skid steers as needed.
- Work Schedule: Standard Monday - Friday, 0700 AM - 3:30 PM outside of outages; overtime, extended hours, and shift flexibility required during outages and operational demands.
- On-call responsibilities are shared among the team, typically one week out of every five when fully staffed.
- Outages are typically scheduled spring and fall, lasting approximately 10 days per unit.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One of the following: Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial or power generation electrical and instrumentation maintenance, OR
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a 3rd Class E&I Technician with appropriate instrumentation training, OR
- Equivalent formal technical training or military electrical / instrumentation experience
- Experience in power generation, waste-to-energy, or heavy industrial environments
- Familiarity with DCS/PLC systems and plant instrumentation (e.g., ABB, Allen Bradley, Siemens)
- Experience with medium-voltage equipment (480V-4160V or higher)
- Experience with emissions systems (CEMS) or combustion processes
