Responsibilities
- Supervise, hire, and train staff and student workers. Review and approve timesheets. Maintain library's statistical reports.

- Required Qualifications
- High School diploma (or GED) and four years of library work experience or relevant customer service experience (retail, bookstore, service industry, etc.) .
- Demonstrated strong user/customer service skills and orientation.
- Commitment to creating a welcoming library environment for all library users and staff.
- Demonstrated evidence of strong interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working with printers, scanners, and computers.
- Demonstrated ability to independently make decisions, manage workflows, and solve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Experience staffing a service point in a library setting.
- Experience using library circulation systems.
- Experience providing research help using library resources.
- Experience supervising staff.
- Experience working in an academic STEM Library.

- Salary Range
- $46,000 + depending on qualifications
- Working Conditions
- Typical office and library conditions.

- Work Shift
- Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm. Work is on-site on UT Austin campus. Position does not support remote work.
