EliteAI-generated questions, company research, and talking points tailored to this role
Responsibilities
- A little bit of everything, because that's the beauty (or hardship) of boutique studio life.
- Some weeks you'll get to flex your creative muscles on campaign concepts. Other weeks you'll be aligning boxes, updating brochures, resizing artwork into 27 different formats, and wondering why anyone needs a banner in 17 dimensions. Welcome to the glamorous world of design.
Requirements
- This is not an entry-level role. Around 2-3 years of graphic design experience in a creative studio environment
- Competent in advertising graphic design. Candidates with only experience in social media content creation / fashion / photography portfolio need not apply.
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills
- Proficient in using InDesign and After Effects .
- Good design fundamentals (typography, layout, colour, composition, common sense)
- Able to work independently without needing your hand held every 15 minutes
- Able to take feedback without immediately wanting to move to a remote island
- A genuine passion and a good eye for design and creativity
- You're friendly, communicative, and not afraid to speak up. Whether it's asking for clarification, sharing an idea, flagging a potential issue, or simply updating the team on progress, you believe that good communication makes everyone's life easier.
- Things We Don't Really Care About
- Whether you graduated from a famous school
- Whether your portfolio website has won awards
- Whether you can recite every design principle from memory
- We care about whether you can think, create, solve problems, and produce work you're proud of.
- What You'll Get
- A small team where you'll get to be involved in all projects where your competency lie
- No endless layers of approvals and bureaucracy
- Flexible, friendly working environment
- Daily interactions with our resident Labrador and a cat.
- 🐶 The Labrador is generally supportive of all creative directions, and enjoys the companion of your legs and pats.
- 🐱 The cat is harder to impress.
- ❗A Quick Reality Check
- This probably isn't the role for you if:
- You do not have a local employment pass.
- You only enjoy working on one type of design.
- You need constant supervision.
- You think "good enough" is good enough.
- You panic when given a blank canvas.
- You shun impromptu overtime.
- You only have experience in social media content creation / fashion / photography projects.
- You are dog&cat-shy.
- Interested?
- Send it to us hello@maadcreatives.com :
- Your portfolio (if it's a PDF, not more than 5mb please!)
- Your CV (please state expected remuneration + availability)
- A short introduction about yourself
Additional Information
Midweight Graphic Designer We're looking for a midweight Graphic Designer to join our small but mighty team. You know, the kind of designer who: Secretly judges restaurant menus. Zooms in to check if text is aligned. Has a built-in radar for overused design trends and a habit of finding fresher ways to say the same thing. Says things like "the spacing feels a bit off" and is actually right. If this sounds suspiciously like you, keep reading.
