About the role

The Anduril Maritime team is a dedicated group of driven professionals passionate about advancing subsea technology and delivering innovative capabilities to meet our customers' needs. We are seeking our next Field Test Operator to join the Dive-XL Field Operations team. In this role, you will support onshore and offshore test events to ensure vehicle preparedness, and leverage your technical expertise to operate our cutting-edge system in some of the most demanding and dynamic conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for field deployments by identifying, sourcing and kitting AUV (Autonomous Undersea Vehicle) test and support equipment
  • Conduct daily AUV inspections and system checks before and after operations
  • Execute AUV launch and recovery evolutions, support day-to-day test operations, and assist in daily operations and test reports
  • Perform maintenance, repair and upgrades of AUVs in the field
  • Support development, review and trials of Standard Operating Procedures and user documentation for all aspects of AUV operations
  • Assist with the preparation of risk assessments for test and related operations, identifying and implementing mitigations
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in working with tools to assemble, repair, and maintain technical hardware in a maritime environment.
  • Naturally inquisitive, able to independently research and learn new technical components or concepts.
  • Experience collaborating cross functionally working towards a common goal.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Suite related computer applications (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Highly polished communication skills in order to best work with teams across time zones.
  • Willingness to travel up to ~50%, including significant time spent offshore on vessels of all sizes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to be in office in Costa Mesa, CA daily.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Requirements

  • Commercial maritime experience and/or military background with exposure to autonomous systems
  • Experience with heavy machinery and tooling such as forklifts, cranes, etc.
  • Ability to master a technical system and support it in austere environments. Demonstrate an innate drive to be self-sufficient across the breadth of a technical system.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions, equipment schematics, electrical diagrams, etc.)

  • $86,000 - $114,000 USD
