Provide individualized occupational therapy treatment plans to help patients improve, restore, or maintain functional abilities, reduce pain, and achieve rehabilitation goals. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to evaluate patient needs, monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans as needed. Educate patients on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and healthy practices while ensuring appropriate follow-up care and discharge planning. A Day in the Life Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients; Review physician's referral and patient's medical records and confer with patient and appropriate medical practitioners to plan, implement, and assess the intervention program; Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation; Test, measure and record in patient's electronic medical record the patient's strength, motor development, functional capacity, sensory perception, and respiratory and/or circulatory efficiency; Analyze patient progress and data, record in electronic medical record and modify interventions to achieve anticipated goals and expected outcomes, including referring to other practitioners as needed; Educate patients about injury prevention, ergonomics, and ways to promote health; Instruct patient in treatment procedures to be continued at home; Discharge patient from occupational therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained and provide for appropriate follow-up care or referrals. Certifications/Education Degree from an accredited occupational therapy program; Active/unrestricted Nevada Occupational Therapy License from Nevada State Board Preferred Qualifications - How can you set yourself apart from other applicants?
