In this role, you will leverage your technical and functional abilities to advise, mentor, and assist high school aged youth with their high school-based college courses, and pathways. Additionally, you will serve as a coordinator for the Accelerated Associates Degree program known as ASAP. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of advising, project management, and communication skills, coupled with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and data driven results in a dynamic environment. Required Skills & Competencies: The following is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in using multiple student tracking software system, including, but not limited to Banner, Dual Enroll, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canvas, and Salesforce with hands-on experience in managing a classroom, presenting to high school students and administrative teams, and tracking students' progress toward a completion. - Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and provide data-driven solutions for our high school partners to assist students through their academic journey with Ivy Tech. - Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly to diverse audiences. - Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically, make decisions independently, and solve complex problems in a timely manner. - Teamwork: Proven experience in collaborating effectively with diverse teams to achieve common goals. - Project Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and track progress in a fast-paced environment. - Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire, guide, and assist team members toward a common goal while fostering a positive work culture. Preferred Additional Skills: - Experience in student advising and/or high school classroom management (teaching, counseling, or support). Advise students in clarifying personal and academic career goals using appropriate student development, human development, and student learning theories. - Coordinate ASAP program- Provide student communication, calendar planning, event coordination, data tracking and technical support to assist in the maintenance of the Associate Accelerated Program (ASAP). - Manage assigned schools' dual credit and dual enrollment courses from application through registration. Work with teachers and students to assist with Dual Enroll applications, Knowledge Assessment, and course registration. - Maintain ongoing communication and good public relations with high school students, parents, and school personnel by coordinating school visits and other recruiting and information activities. Collaborate with high school counselors, teachers, and school personnel to address student needs/issues when appropriate. - Maintain, update, and distribute dual credit, dual enrollment, and credential attainment resource materials to college and high school personnel. - Monitor academic progress of assigned dual credit students.
