Research Associate

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to make a leading contribution to a research project examining the impacts of welfare grants in pregnancy and the early years on maternal and child health inequalities. The post holder will work with Dr. Emma Stewart and Professor Sara MacDonald, and other colleagues both within University of Glasgow and other Universities across the UK. This project will conduct qualitative interviews across the UK, including working with peer researchers, and triangulate the results with input from a lived experience panel. The successful candidate will be required to travel across the UK, including overnight stays, to support the qualitative data collection. The post is part of a larger mixed-methods natural experimental evaluation project that aims to understand how welfare grants in pregnancy can support families. You will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project/disciplinary area as opportunities allow.
