Responsibilities

  • Scholar Routine Care and Support:
  • Ensure daily routines and rhythms (wake-up, meals, lights out) are consistently upheld by the Residential Support team.
  • Monitor scholar well-being through informal check-ins and flag concerns to Scholar Wellbeing, Scholar Development Executives or the Director, Scholarship

  • Oversee inventory and procurement needs for residential supplies to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Coordinate manpower planning, duty rosters, and staff deployment to ensure adequate residential coverage across weekdays, weekends, and peak operational periods.
  • Monitor and address hygiene, cleanliness, and maintenance issues within residential facilities, ensuring timely rectification and compliance with safety standards.
  • Support the planning and implementation of residential operational processes, including room hygiene and safety checks, scholar check-ins/check-outs, and emergency response coordination to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Staff Supervision and Scheduling:
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and supervision of Residential Support and Care Staff and relief staff.
  • Coordinate and manage shift rotations and duty schedules to ensure 24/7 coverage with minimal disruption.
  • Provide feedback to the Director, Scholarship on staff performance, development needs, and morale.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and scholar-centered team culture by supporting staff well-being, communication, and professional growth.
  • Ensure Residential Support and Care Staff are aligned with organisational policies, safeguarding procedures, incident management protocols, and operational expectations through regular briefings and guidance.
  • Community Building & Events:
  • Plan and implement daily routines, bonding activities, and festive or cultural celebrations within the residential environment.
  • Support residential programs that align with scholar development goals, such as resilience and self-management.
  • Safety, Crisis & Incident Management:
  • Serve as a first responder for residential incidents (e.g., emotional distress, accidents, fire alarms).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and application of safeguarding, first aid, and fire safety procedures.
  • Support documentation and follow-up of incidents, including debriefing relevant staff.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness efforts, including evacuation drills, crisis response exercises, and safety briefings for scholars and residential staff.
  • Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including parents, emergency services, and school personnel, during critical incidents to ensure timely communication and coordinated support.
  • Coordination and Stakeholder Support:
  • Act as a key point of contact between Residential Support and Care Staff, Scholar Development Staff, Schools, and Families when needed.
  • Assist in incidents, case discussions, particularly those requiring residential adjustments or behavioural follow-up.
  • Uphold and reinforce the Scholar Handbook and support fair and constructive handling of scholar misdemeanours.
  • Administration and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records on scholar routines, facilities issues, incidents, and staff shift logs.

She aims to empower them to dream of a future where they are not limited by family circumstances. We are excited to welcome a dedicated and experienced individual to the role of Assistant Lead, Residential. In this crucial position, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional residential support services for our scholars. Your main objective will be to stay on campus, ensure scholars' well-being, safety, and a smooth transition into our residential facilities whilst upkeeping the campus to be vibrant. You will collaborate closely with scholars, their families, and other stakeholders to foster a positive and supportive living environment. In addition, you will attend to facilities-related needs, oversee manpower planning, staff coverage and deployment, and ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and maintenance matters within the residential spaces are addressed promptly and effectively to maintain a safe, conducive, and welcoming environment for all scholars.
