About the role

The Graphic Designer supports the development and delivery of creative visual communications across digital and print channels for InsideOut Institute for Eating Disorders. Working closely with the Communications Lead and Digital Marketing Officer, the role contributes to the design and production of branded marketing materials, social media content, campaign assets, publications, and internal and external communications. The position helps ensure all creative outputs are visually engaging, accessible, aligned with brand guidelines, and support the InsideOut's strategic objectives. The Graphic Designer works under general supervision and guidance from the Communications Lead, undertaking design tasks in accordance with agreed priorities, brand guidelines, and project requirements. The role exercises judgement in applying established design principles and selecting appropriate visual solutions to meet communication objectives. The incumbent is responsible for managing their workload, prioritising competing deadlines, and resolving routine design-related matters within their area of responsibility. More complex creative, strategic, or brand-related decisions are referred to the Communications Lead for direction and approval. Your key responsibilities will be to: support the development and delivery of creative design projects across print and digital channels, including publications, reports, presentations, fact sheets, campaign materials, social media assets, and promotional resources. create and adapt visual content for a variety of platforms and formats, ensuring all materials are engaging, accessible, and aligned with the InsideOut Institute brand guidelines. design social media content and campaign assets across multiple channels, contributing creative ideas that enhance audience engagement and support strategic communication objectives. collaborate with the Communications Lead and Digital Marketing Officer to develop visual solutions that effectively communicate research, clinical, education, advocacy, and service initiatives. maintain brand consistency and quality standards across all design outputs, ensuring accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to organisational guidelines and accessibility requirements. provide creative support for marketing, communication, and stakeholder engagement activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of campaigns, resources, and processes. liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, service teams, suppliers, and external partners, to gather requirements, manage feedback, and deliver high-quality design outcomes. coordinate the preparation and production of design assets, including managing file organisation, artwork preparation, version control, and liaising with printers and external suppliers where required. assist with administrative and operational activities associated with design projects, including maintaining asset libraries, processing design-related purchases, and supporting efficient workflow management. contribute to a positive, collaborative, and safe working environment by complying with University policies and procedures, participating in relevant training, and supporting workplace health and safety initiatives. About You excellent organisational, planning and time management skills including the ability to coordinate multiple work projects across a range of priorities excellent knowledge of typography, photography and illustration demonstrated experience in graphic design computer programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Creative Suite excellent attention to detail in a high-volume environment strong communication and teamwork skills demonstrated experience in graphic design bachelor's Degree - In a relevant field [Required] other - An equivalent combination of relevant training and experience [Required] Sponsorship / work rights for Australia Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
