Senior Systems Engineer I

Requirements

• 10+ years of Systems Engineering experience
• BS Engineering/Computer Science
• Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.
• TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Experience of Windows Enterprise infrastructure.
• Window troubleshooting.
• Experience in virtual server environments.
• Experience in scripts automation.
• Experience in Azure and AWS Cloud implementation
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Diagnose system performance problems using available standard performance tools and system indicators such as queue lengths, CPU utilization, etc.
• Install program products and system components
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of all system components and of program products assigned to support.
• Work closely with development groups, support groups, and vendors to coordinate special operations, and communicate/escalate problems as appropriate to meet assigned deadlines.
• Assist in daily support of the systems/products assigned, through early detection and pursuit or changes in system responses or operation.
• Work closely with support groups to refine system monitoring and reporting, and to assist them in their analysis and problem recovery.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of major system components in completing assigned tasks (i.e., storage systems and Windows infrastructure).
• Demonstrate knowledge of system components in completing assigned tasks (i.e., storage systems, and Windows/Virtual infrastructure).
• Develop lists/scripts for execution of commonly used processes and automation of simple tasks.

Global Engineering is responsible for Enterprise and Azure AD, Domain Controllers, SAML, App Proxy, LDAP, DHCP, and Windows OS/Automation information technology, risk assessment, development, design, and validation of emerging and/or improved infrastructure technologies and services enabling business goals and requirements for transition to global operations. Provide third level support to ensure functionality and operations of all systems. Follow the Established Best Practice of Data Center technical services used throughout RELX and their subsidiaries in support of business products and infrastructure services for all RELX customers. Scope includes the infrastructure support of Windows, and similar IT platforms.
