Advise and ensure compliance with all applicable workplace safety and health (WSH) protocols and systems in compliance with legal requirements, incl. WSH Act, Fire Safety Act, Singapore Standards and Codes of Practice Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions that mitigate risks on-site Establish, implement and maintain effective WSHE management systems, including trainings, documentation, administration and records Support the organization in fulfilling all operational WSH duties to uphold safe manufacturing practices throughout project lifecycles Review and verify the proposed method statements for risk assessment and safe working procedures, ensuring proper execution on site Monitor changes in relevant legislation and proactively communicate updates to the Site Plant Leadership Team to maintain compliance Provide consultancy services for plant staff (when needed) Join the incident investigations and propose remedial measures to prevent recurrence Fire Safety / Fire Protection Manager of the site: o Lead the Fire Safety Team in the organization on operational matters such as ensuring at all times that fire safety requirements contained in Emergency Response Plan (ERP) are complied with, and oversight of the daily checks and removal of any fire hazards found. o Take responsibility for good contract management with regards to Fire Safety related systems with clear end-to-end expectations from governing authority (e.g. SCDF, etc) and management. o Review infrastructure plans to ensure it enables resilient emergency response. o Support the testing of the site Emergency Response Plan, ensuring alignment of infrastructure and procedures. o Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on fire safety related matters to plant staff o On days where incidents/audit might happen, WSHO need to adjust the workday schedule as well accordingly o Review and update of Emergency Response Plan (ERP) o Coordinate Fire Safety Committee Meeting and record minutes of meeting (when required) o Conduct Emergency Evacuation Exercise (Fire Drill) and Table-Top Exercise (TTE) and prepare post-mortem reports. o Conduct fire safety inspection to ensure site is free of fire hazards and that the fire safety and protection systems installed on site are maintained (by building's appointed contractors) to the standard that meets local statutory requirements. o Liaise and coordinate with Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) on all matters pertaining to fire safety and its requirement on behalf of the client and provide advisory on fire safety related matters and any other requirements asper Fire Safety Act. o Prepare annual FSM Report for the building owner. Attend the pre-fire certification renewal testing and endorse form FSSD-CED-FC01/02/03 on behalf of the building owner as required by the Fire Safety Act (1 site visit/per renewal). - exclude QP Services.
