Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

• On site system troubleshooting
• Act as the L1 and L2 escalation point for all technical issues across multiple client environments.
• Investigate root-cause analysis (RCA), incident resolution, and long-term corrective action planning.
• Diagnose advanced issues, credentialing workflows, hardware faults, network routing, and subsystem integrations.
• Engage vendor support teams for deep-dive troubleshooting, bug escalations, and patch management.
• Replacement of hardware or upgrade of firmware or patching.
• Multi-Platform Expertise (If any)
• Hands-on expertise in any of the Systems such as:
• LenelS2 OnGuard
• HID / Mercury-based systems
• Genetec
• Suprema / ZKTeco / Axis
• Milestone VMS
• Video Wall
• Ability to configure, integrate, and optimize controllers, readers, credential formats, PIN/biometric workflows, and enterprise permissions across platforms is essential.
• Maintenance, Optimization & Lifecycle Management
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans, system health checks, and upgrade strategies.
• Ensure proper documentation: Service reports, update of any design document if any change or upgrade of hardware or firmware.

Requirements

• Diploma / Nitec in IT, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Technical certifications in CCTV and Access Control systems are highly recommended.
• Experience: 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience
• Strong understanding of:
• Network connection
• SQL databases, Windows Server, virtualized environments
• Door hardware (maglocks, strikes, sensors, interlocks)
• Identity and access management principles
• Video Management Software
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose both software and hardware issues.
• Willingness to perform hands-on field work
• Able to perform standby or after-hours support upon fault call activated on rotation basis
• Class 3 license is preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in Chinese is an advantage, as the role requires liaising with Chinese-speaking clients.
