About the role

Egis Ireland are looking to grow our BIM Team within the Structural - Buildings Division and are seeking an experienced BIM CAD Technician (Structural) to join our expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale Residential Apartment, Healthcare, and Hospital projects across Ireland as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary design environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation and coordination of structural drawings and BIM models, supporting project delivery from concept through to construction stages.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of detailed structural drawings and BIM models for building projects. Production and coordination of: AutoCAD drawings Revit BIM models and RC detailing drawings and schedules.
  • Management and control of drawings and documentation using document management systems.
  • Coordination with engineers, architects, and wider design teams.
  • Attendance at design team and coordination meetings.
  • Ensuring BIM and CAD standards are maintained across projects.
  • Assisting in the development and improvement of BIM workflows and processes.
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficient in: AutoCAD, Revit, BIM Modelling, RC Drawings & Schedules

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years' experience working as a BIM CAD Technician within a busy engineering consultancy environment.
  • Strong experience preparing: AutoCAD drawings, Revit BIM models, Reinforced Concrete (RC) drawings and schedules.
  • Excellent understanding of BIM coordination and documentation processes.
  • Experience managing drawings and documents using document management software systems.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Experience attending and contributing to design team meetings.
