A Brief Summary of This Position: The Associate Maintenance Technicial supports the maintenance team by assisting with the installation, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment, facilities, and systems. This position performs a variety of maintenance-related tasks while learning maintenance processes and ensuring equipment and facilities remain safe, functional, and operational to support production requirements. Essential Functions: This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and has no direct reports. Assist maintenance technicians with repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. Perform basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance tasks under the direction of skilled maintenance personnel. Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and identifying potential causes of equipment failures. Support preventive maintenance programs by performing inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance activities. Assist with facility maintenance activities including lighting, plumbing, painting, grounds maintenance, and general building repairs. Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment in a safe and effective manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and work environment. Assist with moving, assembling, and installing machinery, equipment, and production tooling. Respond to maintenance service requests and support production needs as directed. Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies. Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in efforts to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Other duties/responsibilities as required and/or assigned. Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): High School Diploma or GED equivalent. One (1) year of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, construction, mechanical repair, or a related field preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand and power tools. Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and maintenance documentation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical work throughout the shift. Basic computer skills and ability to complete required maintenance records. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with employees at all levels. Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications: Associate degree, technical certification, or vocational training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field. Two (2) or more years of experience supporting maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment. Experience working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and maintenance best practices. Experience operating forklifts, aerial lifts, or other industrial equipment. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Welding, fabrication, or machining experience. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
