Requirements

  • Requires BA/BS in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 10 years of experience in a high level financial analysis position and experience supporting senior management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
  • CPA, MBA or Masters degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.

Anticipated End Date: 2026-07-06 Position Title: Financial Planning & Analysis Director Senior Job Description: Financial Planning & Analysis Director Senior Location: PR-SAN JUAN, 654 MUNOZ RIVERA AVE, SUITES 1500 & 1600. This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. The Financial Planning & Analysis Director Senior has end to end responsibility for the full P&L of Carelon Global Solutions Puerto Rico. R esponsible for providing high level financial leadership, decision support and strategic direction to a State Plan President, regional leader or national business. Through either a combination of supporting one of the more complex states/lines of business in terms of operating and/or regulatory environment, complex financial arrangements and complex product types (e.g., operating revenue over $1.5 billion, operating gain over $100 million, and membership over 700,000) and/or full responsibility for the P&L including net margin and G&A expenses. How you will make an impact: Serves as primary liaison between finance leadership and business unit. Presents month end financial statements and supporting analysis. Prepares annual and quarterly forecasts. Prepares internal management reports and comprehensive analyses of financial and statistical results to support senior management. Coordinates with actuarial on pricing actions and reserve calculations. Leads efforts with Business Leadership on cash flow management. Conducts and documents complex financial and business related analysis. Focuses on business improvement initiatives and leads and directs projects.
