THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2284P01 and is part of the IL 182 AW, National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of consideration for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence: The area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG. Military Grades: MSgt or SMSgt ONLY. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WS-13 LEVEL - MUST possess the specialized experience which includes, In addition to the craftsman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. SPECIALIZED SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE: MUST possess supervisory experience which includes experience in managing the function of work to be performed; experience that includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
