Responsibilities
- End-to-End Ownership
- Take full accountability for assigned finance modules and cost centres, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of all transactions and reporting outputs.
- Core Finance Operations
- Financial Close Management
- Lead and deliver month-end and year-end close processes for all modules, ensuring deadlines are met with high data integrity and alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
- Reporting& Reconciliation
- -Check validity of all transactions on monthly and annual management reports, audit schedules, and reconciliations (e.g., General Ledger, Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Governmental Surveys).
- -Maintain supporting schedules such as fixed assets registers and bank reconciliations.
- GST Compliance
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST submissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accuracy at entity and submission to Head Office.
- Financial Controls & Governance
- -Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintain proper financial records in compliance with statutory and corporate requirements.
- -Ensure all transactions are appropriately approved, documented, and reflected accurately in the ERP system.
- Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Management
- Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies with internal stakeholders, business units, and external partners (including ERP vendors), particularly those impacting financial reporting and close timelines.
- Audit& Compliance Support
- Support internal and external audit processes, including preparation of required documentation and participation in asset verification and inventory count exercises when assigned.
- Continuous Improvement & Adaptability
- -Contribute to ongoing enhancements in processes, systems, and overall finance operations to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- -Support finance-related committees through meeting coordination and preparation of relevant reports and insights.
- -Remain flexible and responsive to evolving business priorities, taking on new or adjusted responsibilities in alignment with team and organisational needs.
- Ad-hoc Support
- Undertake additional tasks or projects as assigned by the Head of Department or CFO.
- Performance Focus Areas
- Accounts Payable (including review of payment batches) / Accounts Receivable(including POS reconciliation across business units) module assigned and month end/ year end closing matters.
- GST submission and compliance
- Bank reconciliations (ERP and excel version)
- Fixed Assets management and reporting
- Right-of-Use (ROU) asset schedules
- Inventory accounting and reconciliation
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy with minimum 1-3 years of relevant accounting/ Finance work experience, preferably in Linen, F&B industries
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel (esp Pivot, Vlookup etc, Word, PowerPoint),
- Have experience in managing full set of accounts, familiarity with Synergix ERP would be an added advantage,
- Exposures to Finance related AI software e.g. RPA, Power BI
