About The Role This part-time (0.5 FTE) post is available immediately until July 2029, although may be extended subject to financial performance of Applied Forensics Exeter (ApEx) Commercial Forensics. In line with the University's fair employment for all principles ,, any further funding opportunities identified will be reviewed and discussed during the contract. The starting salary will be from £50,253 to £ 67,468 on Grade G pro rata for 0.5 FTE, depending on knowledge, skills and experience. This role can be based anywhere in the UK and will require national travel, sometimes at short notice. Please note this role is subject to NPPV/ SC Clearance. Applied Precision Exeter (ApEx) Commercial Forensics is the University of Exeter's commercial forensic service. The service predominantly provides forensic archaeology, anthropology and entomology as well as a wide range of niche forensic services via specialists and subcontractors. The successful candidate will form a core part of the delivery and management of forensic services to partners. This will include responding to internal and external demands, developing investigative strategies, coordinating our response to requests including managing subcontractors, and carrying out forensic work at scenes and in the lab. The forensic reporter will be the lead for investigations including on-scene and lab-based analysis and preparing evidential bundles for law enforcement partners.
