About the role
Job Purpose Integrated Maintenance Control Centre (IMCC) is a 24/7 maintenance operations centre which controls maintenance activity for the sustainment of lines operated by SMRT Trains. Based in Kim Chuan Depot, the Assistant Engineers in IMCC liaise with rolling stock, signal & communications, track infra maintenance, and integrated facilities management units to ensure that faults and abnormalities are rectified and condition alerts are attended to timely. Duties and Responsibilities Assistant Engineers serve as Controllers in IMCC. Each Controller is assigned to aspecific control cell with dedicated focus over rolling stock, signal and communications, track infrastructure, and facilities maintenance activities. The duties and responsibilities of the controllers include: 1. Registering reported defects and coordinate follow-up maintenance activities 2. Direct maintenance units on their respond to emergencies and condition monitoring alerts 3. Coordinating with Control, Train, and Station Operations Department to enable maintenance units to carry out their work 4. Qualifications and Work Experience - Interest in railway and railway maintenance operations - Ability to work on rotating shift - Electrical or Mechanical Diploma and above - Aptitude and openness to learn - Ability to work independently in the cell - Team player and good communicator Skills and Competencies - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power point and Word - Able to read and write in English proficiently - Training will be provided on operating procedures and relevant system knowledge
