About the role

We are seeking a Sales Manager / Business Development Manager with solar experience to support our business growth in solar PV solutions, Zero CAPEX solar models, rooftop solar systems, and green energy projects. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, basic technical understanding of solar PV systems, and the ability to engage building owners, facility managers, developers, MCSTs, consultants, and corporate clients. Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for solar PV and renewable energy projects.
  • Promote Gainmax's solar solutions, including Zero CAPEX solar models, rooftop solar systems, and energy-saving solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with building owners, developers, facility managers, MCSTs, consultants, and corporate clients.
  • Conduct client meetings, site discussions, and project requirement briefings.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, presentations, and sales documents.
  • Coordinate with the engineering and project teams for technical assessment, site surveys, system sizing, and proposal preparation.
  • Follow up with leads, manage sales pipelines, and achieve sales targets.
  • Assist in market research, competitor analysis, and business development activities.
  • Support company marketing campaigns, events, networking sessions, and lead generation activities.
  • Maintain proper records of client communication, project opportunities, and sales progress.
  • Occasionally travel overseas for project or business development matters when required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of sales experience, preferably in solar PV, renewable energy, electrical, construction, or engineering industry.
  • Candidates with solar PV experience will have an added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of solar PV systems, rooftop solar, electricity savings, and PPA / Zero CAPEX models is preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Able to build good relationships with clients and follow through on sales opportunities.
  • Proactive, responsible, target-driven, and willing to learn.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic digital tools.
  • Possess own transport will be an advantage but not compulsory.
