IT Services is a key department that ensures the University has the robust, reliable, and high-performing IT facilities required to support the distinctive needs of teaching, learning, research, and administration. About the Role As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, configuring, and supporting the University's core networking infrastructure - including our metropolitan area backbone network and multi-site data centre networks. You will ensure these services are delivered in a reliable and secure manner, providing second- and third-line support to members of the University and contributing to the ongoing resilience and performance of the network. You will be joining us as we complete a major refresh of the University's backbone network. In the coming year we hope to start the wide-scale rollout of IPv6, helping to modernise and future-proof our infrastructure. About You Have experience supporting large-scale enterprise or campus networks, including design, configuration, and troubleshooting. Be confident in providing second- and third-line support, resolving complex network issues effectively. Communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrate a proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach to your work, comfortable responding to shifting priorities. Take pride in delivering high-quality, customer-focused service while ensuring work is carried out safely and securely.
