About the role

As a Network Security Engineer in Snapp, you will be working on making network establishes, manages and administers the security policy and procedures to ensure preventive and recovery strategies are in place, Taking care of backups, Monitoring security events and logs , Providing technical support, troubleshooting problems, and resolving issues for clients. Design, implement, and manage network security solutions, including firewalls, WAFs VPNs, and IDS/IPS. Troubleshoot complex network and security issues, recreating problems in lab environments when needed. Conduct vulnerability assessments, analyze security risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Oversee operational security tasks, including monitoring, backup management, and disaster recovery planning. Develop, enforce, and optimize security policies, procedures, and best practices. Maintain and improve network security documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Perform security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards. Assist in security incident response, identifying, containing, and mitigating threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security in IT infrastructure and business processes. Research and recommend new security technologies and solutions to strengthen network defenses. 3+ years of experience in network security or a related field. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols (BGP, OSPF). Hands-on experience with security devices such as firewalls (NGFWs), IDS/IPS, WAFs, and VPN solutions. Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting remote access and site-to-site VPNs (SSL VPN, IPsec). Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM), MFA, and Zero Trust security models. Experience with security monitoring tools (SIEM, packet analyzers, and intrusion detection systems). Ability to analyze and respond to security incidents effectively. Experience in drafting security policies, procedures, and technical documentation. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with Linux system administration. Knowledge of automation tools and scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform). Experience with cloud infrastructure and its security. Understanding of advanced network technologies like Fabric VXLAN, ACI, etc.
