As a Structural Engineer (Product Development), you will be responsible for collaborating directly with our US/EU/Canada stakeholders to research and develop Simpson Strong-Tie products. Responsibilities
- Support Product Research & Development (R&D)
- Product Calculation
- Provide engineering support for new and existing products, including product calculations, comparisons, and calculation templates.
- Testing & Analysis
- Coordinate and support product testing activities, including test planning, test data analysis, and test reports.
- Perform engineering analysis to support product performance, durability, and reliability.
- Design & Simulation
- Develop and support 3D CAD models, drawings, FEA, marketing and engineering data analysis in collaboration with cross functional teams.
- Work with software teams to develop and maintain engineering software or web based tools used in product development and analysis.
- Post‑Launch & Collaboration
- Create and maintain technical documents such as product catalogs, load tables, structural details and technical installation manuals.
- Provide technical support after product launch and support continuous product improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Vietnam teams and global stakeholders to complete assigned projects successfully.
- Other tasks assigned by line manager.
- DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. We welcome fresh graduates (from 0-1 year of experience)
- Familiarity with IBC, ACI-318 and ASCE-7 codes is a plus
- Familiarity with VBA for Excel is a plus
- Experience or coursework in CAD modeling (AutoCAD, Revit or similar software preferred).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with local and global teams.
- Creative and innovative mindset, with a willingness to explore new ideas to improve products, testing methods, or engineering tools.
- English proficiency equivalent to Level B2 of the CEFR or above (TOEIC 700, or IELTS 6.0)
- Having passion in general engineering, structural designs or research fields is an advantage.
